That second one looks good with all the bits that come with it They aren't too heavy, so a tv unit or small cupboard will be fine.

Re: 30G
If you were closer I would have offered for you and your mum to come round and see reptiles. I have only ever heard of a few instances of a Royal biting anyone, and even fewer bites from Corns. It is true that reptiles can carry Salmonella, but then virtually all animals pose some kind of health risks to humans. As long as simple steps are taken with cleanliness there should be no problem. The use of an anti-bacterial gel and handwash after handling the reptile or anything in its viv should reduce the risks dramatically. It is normally the under 5's, the elderly or people with lowered immune systems that are most at risk.
Even fish tanks can pose health risks to humans in the form of TB (perhaps dont mention that bit lol)
We've 8 corn snakes and 2 Royals and haven't been biten once. A Royals normal threat response is to curl up into a ball, hence their other name Ball Python. Whenever i mention a Royal python to non-snake people they imagine some huge maneater In fact their average size is only 4 to 5 feet.
The other thing to consider is running costs. An adult snake will eat 1 mouse/rat every 7-10 days, whereas Leos will eat mealworms every day, will have crickets or locusts a couple of times a week, and will also need calcium suppliments.

i think thats why shes worried she knows what my lil bro is like and thats whats putting her off evan with the lock.

i found out i can get small pink mice for 50p at jollys which is about 5 mins away so would have no problem getting them. i dont know how much they are for the big rats need to go look.
thats what put my mum of the geckos because having to get crickets every few weeks and all the calcium stuff must cost quite a bit over a few feeds. the tubs of it are £5 at my lfs and only small.

50 pence for Pinkies isn't too bad. A fully grown Royal would be on medium/large rat depending where you get them. They cost around £3 ish....
Tubs of calcium for Leos would last ages. At least 2 months for a few Leos A tub of crickets would last a couple of weeks for a pair of Leos if the crickets are fed well and kept warm. Mealies again can be kept alive for a couple of weeks easily

Re: 30G
Hi
Normal calcium and another product called Nutrabol are the best. The nutrabol being used to dust the crickets/locusts twice a week. At other times use the calcium.

Re: 30G
You ideally need two supplements one a mineral and the other calcium. Mineral are very easily found and as Van has said Nutrabol is very good. For calcium you can either buy a tub or grind up cuttle fish bones and thats pure calcium carbonate and works out alot cheaper .
