Cheers. There look like there going to be one of the plainer types but i think i prefer them they look more natural and fit in well with the Akysis.

Re: Few new fish for the 21G
The Badis are around the " mark so small. They could even be a type that hasnt been described yet because from what ive read not many badis have been described. No matter what they are they should fit in ok because most like temps around 22c and a fairly good flow. The Garra is about 2" not including tail.

Re: Few new fish for the 21G
Cheers. They are really colouring up. The one in pic 4 is now a dark gray colour with jet black stripes and fins and theres another one the same as him which i think are both males. Then theres 4 this are a lighter grey with broken black stripes down them which a think are females. I can find any fish like them though so really dont have a clue what they are.

The badis are Badis badis.
A mature male should look like this
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Mine are only young but i can already see a little of the red on the dominant males body.

I'm curious as how they'll colour up for you. At least you know what you bought now!

Re: Few new fish for the 21G
Haha. Hopefully but either way im happy. They still have a fair amount of growing to do yet. There about 1" now so still have another 1" and a bit to grow yet. Once they start to mature im going to narrow them down to the dominant male and a few females.

Re: Few new fish for the 21G
Well i added 3 Synodontis nigriventris to the tank. There from africa not asia but since im getting rid of my 30G and they dont fit into the 150G stocking i decided to give them a go in the tank and guess what after under 24 hours in the tank they have spawned. I only managed to save 2 eggs but hopefully they will hatch. As far as i know they have only been spawned in an aquarium once before so im really looking forward to see if they hatch.

Re: Few new fish for the 21G
Well unfortunately the eggs have gone white so they must have been infertile. Hopefully they will spawn again soon.

Smart business man. Spend a little to get a lot. Those things happen when
you deal primarily with one or two shops. I need to get there!

Re: Few new fish for the 21G
I'll get there one of these days. When I have the time I don't have the money
or vise versa. Aaaargh! Frustrating! I just need more money and lots of it. But
so do others!

Apprenticeship at your Grandfathers? Hopefully they'll pay a reasonable
amount. There are laws here towards child labor!

Re: Few new fish for the 21G
Not at my grandads. If i can get on the collage course i want you go work 4 days a week and collage 1 day a week. Its a 2 year course. The moneys ok but not great. The minimum they can give you is £100 a week but our collage tutor said he doesnt know anyone getting less than £120 and theres some people getting £200. Its because ill only be 16 and its classed as part time so they dont have to pay that much but hopefully once i get the qualifications and am 18 i should be able to get alot more. Thats the plan anyway.
