Green Water Empty Green Water

When i clean my tank out the water is perfect for a couple of days, but goes green really quick. What can i do to improve it.

UV s the answer. try to filter a filter that has it, but not worth it for a tank less than 40 gal.

The tank is near a window yes, and it has about 7 live plants in it.

Its probably due to the sunlight coming through the window. Can you block of the side nearest the window?
