swim free...

About 12 months ago I obtained 2 x 10 year old goldfish from a lady who wanted to get some baby ones for the children!!! some folks. I had to buy a second hand big tank as they were huge. Shortly after that I went to my fave aquatic place and someone had given him 2 goldfish that looked ancient. About the same size as my 2 rescues. I didnt want 4 in the tank but the following week someone took the pretty big orange one, and just left this really and I mean really tatty white one (scales missing, really miserable face) so I had him and put him in with my 2. They have had a lovely 10 months or so together, all swimming about and playing with the bubbles from the pump. I noticed the tatty one looked a bit lethargic yesterday but he ate with the others. This morning he had left his friends and is now swimming free with all the other fish. I am glad I gave him some happy times, but I will miss his miserable face...xxx

that was very sweet of you to take them in...i hate it when people get rid of the old to bring in the new..i hope the ladys children dont get rid of her when she gets to old..
