Re: new tank!
Make sure to feed peas aswell so they dont get constipated. I had been feeding mine them because i was trying to condition the apisto but it worked better for the corys haah

Sounds good to me then. Thinking about it though you might have a problem with getting the eggs out before the snails eat them. If you have a breeding tank to put them in might be better or if not you might just have to hope you catch them in time.

Re: new tank!
the tank the cories are in is in my dining room so it has a lot of traffic. there is only one snail in that tank. when i get some for the tanks with all the snails ill have to patrol craigslist for another tank to breed them in since im sure the snails will be at them much quicker than i will!!

Re: new tank!
They should be ok in that case i though they where in one of your big tanks. I managed to save about 50 eggs from the fish in my 21G (Stocking in my sig) so you should be able to save a few. Once they spawn you could always move the corys to one of the bigger tanks and raise the babies in that tank.

Re: new tank!
The snails will be fine with cory fry once they get to about 1cm long but the snails will eat the eggs and small fry if they lay still for long enough.

Re: new tank!
ok so either new tank for breeding and fry or breeding trap for eggs and fry until they are big enough for the snail tanks right?

Re: new tank!
Yh or could you not just move all the other fish and snails from the tank in your dinning room to one of the bigger tanks and then once the corys breed move them to one of the bigger tanks and raise the cory fry in the smaller tank on there own?

Re: new tank!
yes i could, but that is the "pretty tank" in the main part of the house. wouldnt that stress out the others more than it would the eggs?

Re: new tank!
What stress them out being moved? shouldnt be that bad they will settle in again after a day or 2. Eggs can be moved but its really hard not to damage them and i squished quite a few trying to move them.
