Frogbit and Duckweed? Empty Frogbit and Duckweed?

Post by silverrabbit Thu 25 Mar 2010 - 14:07

The seller I bought some bettas off also sent me a little bag of plants. I thought it was all frogbit as the big bits are deffo frogbit, and thought it just had baby frogbits with it. The seller emailed me to say he sent 2 types - one small and one big. So the little one is duckweed right? There's a lot of this... am I going to end up with it all over my QT tank, like does it get out of control? Do the fish like it?... if so i'll transfer it over to the sorority and just manage it as best as possible Very Happy

Yep...the smaller stuff is Duckweed and the larger will be Frogbit. I love the floating stuff and so do the Bettas. Does spread quickly but as Van said you can just scoop out if it gets too much Very Happy
