Due to a change in personal circumstances I can no longer have a puppy, so seeing as Im going to be out a lot but also want some company in my home, I was thinking maybe a chinchilla? But to be honest I know very little about them and what they are like as pets, does anyone have any experience with them?

i wouldnt go for one to be honest they are hard work keeping clean and they arent always friendly, thats my opinion on them lol. how about a cat?

CAT!!!! Or the ultimate low maintenance pet a GAL :D hehe On a serious note my sisters chinchillas are nigh on un handleable (I know it's not a word...). She has a nervous breakdown everyday when they are out the cage. I wouldn't recomend them. They are too fast and often don't like being handled too much (I know some people will disagree with me here but I'm just going off personal experience).

a GAL? sorry lost me there! I dont really want a cat since when separating from my partner, he got to keep our joint cat so, Id rather have something different

Giant african land snail :D Hmmm understandable. Do you have any reptiles? If not bearded dragons are fantastic pets. Ours have loads of personality and will happily spend hours curled up with you.

Definately...that's where they are supposed to live. They are sooo cute.....would love to have one myself but wouldn't be safe with all the dogs!!!!

They sell little pouches for them too. Apparently it's really important to bond with them and people will hang the pouches round their neck with the little sugar glider inside!!!!

Me too lol I know a friend of ours has a breeding pair but not sure when he's likely to have babies. He's only just got them but could ask for you. We're going over next week to visit him.
