Re: My Snakes
Puddles because her patterns look like little puddles :D
She has an irredescent sheen which the pic doesn't show. I'll see about getting another piccie, but they're all due a feed so can be a bit bitey
Its the carpet pythons who tend to be the snappiest. The jungle jag bit me about 12 times when i get him home :lol!:
Just to give you an idea, the rainbow boa is around 4ft at a year and a half years old. She has another 3ft to go, but will fill out a lot more.
The carpets are about a year old and are about two and a half feet. They will end up between 6-7ft when fully grown.

Re: My Snakes
That one was still just a baby when we got him. They can be quite nippy as babies but not all snakes are and with regular handling they soon calm down.
It's always best to let them bite when they are small and it doesn't really hurt....it's more the shock that makes you jump. The worst thing is to be nervous let them get away with it. You can always wear gloves to start with and just be confident whenever you want to pick them up.
I've never been bitten by any of our snakes but I don't doubt the day will come when I do get tagged :lol!:

Re: My Snakes
That made me cry with laughter. Cute wee baby! I'm sure "cute" isn't as applicable now.
