Re: New BN fry pics
The oldest fry had strawberry and grape for the first time last night n loved it. The newest lot have started eating because there yolk sacs are gone and there coloured up now. It looks like the male is clearing the cave again. Im wondering if because ive took them away there going to spawn AGAIN !!!!!

Y'know what would look nice in that tank Kiz......a bit of wood.
I'm teasing!
Can't believe the cycle has started all over again. You're going to be kept busy.

Haha> im never going to recommend wood again now. I just get bullied by you and nataliey now lol. Yh if they do lay again it will be there 4th lot. Im going to try and make some sort of set up for they fry because if i add the smaller ones to the others they will get bullied out of food and starve but then if i lave them in the big tank they banjos got the taste for them.

Re: New BN fry pics
All the fry and adults are eating spring onion and red pepper which have went down well. I tried potato for the first time last night but they didnt seem to keen on it they still ate about half though.

Re: New BN fry pics
The bigger ones are doing really well. They are about 3cm not including tail and 4cm including it but they are still really skinny but they should start to bulk out soon. They some of them are dark brown with loads of light brown spots where as some are almost black all over.

Re: New BN fry pics
Theres 26 still left to sell (not including the ones for netty)About 10 of the 26 are ready to be sold so im going to go down there tomorrow. It still amazes me the difference in fry size some are about 4cm including tail where as others arent evan 2cm including it. Theres one that is about 1.5cm long and is the same size as a 10 day old bn fry but hes well over 3months old now. Im going to separate him ones i can get the breeding rack set up but at the moment i have no where else he can go.

Re: New BN fry pics
LOL you feed them quite the meal! Are they the left overs from the dinner table that you don't like?
I only feed mine courgette once a week, but now they've discovered they like it, they no longer bother with algue
How big are they when you take them to the shop?

They will eat any fruit and veg apart from citrus fruits. Ive fed mine. chilli, red and green pepper, mellon, grape, strawberry, cucumber ,courgette, spinach, lettuce, potato, carrot and cherrys. There 1" when i can sell them. They have had to be moved into a divided 10G that was going to be set up as a pump but the 15G they where in started leaking They eat alot of algea when there young but when they get older they get more used to being feed and just get lazy lol

Re: New BN fry pics
I can get some of the medium and smaller ones in the 10G but the bigger ones in the 30G theres no chance of getting a pic of theres so many hiding places and they always move as i take the pic :]

Re: New BN fry pics
Ive got some but there terrible. The smaller tank has no light so you cant see any in the pic because about 20 of the 30 are on the cave and the rest are in it or shooting around the tank
these where the best pics i could get of that tank

Re: New BN fry pics
They have hatched . I had to move them into a breeding trap because they started escaping and getting eaten. There must be 100 in the breeding trap.

About 5 more days. They should have coloured up by 10 days after being layed so another 4-5 days.
