Re: New BN fry pics
Haha. I couldnt handle getting up early on weekends.
I tryed the first lot on just algae wafers for a few weeks and it cost me a fourtune i want through a pack that costs £5.99 each in 2 weeks where as a courgette costs about 99p and lasts just as long.

Re: New BN fry pics
Some of them should be getting bristles soon one was just on the glass so measured it and including tail its 2" long so any day now. They have also been fighting alot more recently nothing bad they just nudge each other and flick sand with there tail. The 1 month old fry seem to have taken to riding and going to to toilet on the banjo catfish which he aint to happy about lol.

Re: New BN fry pics
There should be another lot any day now. Its been just over 3 weeks so slightly longer than last time but the male has been in and out of the cave and the female seems to be more active like she normally is before spawning.

Re: New BN fry pics
Hopefully. Ive changed my mind on the breeding rack. Im going to go fo 1 big tank instead Im looking for one between 4' x 1.5' x 1.5' - 5 x 2 x 2 and if i can find one im going to look into the cost of making a plywood tank. Then i can set it up for the bns and have a few trios of apisto that will hopefully breed and control the numbers of bn fry. I might drop the snakeheads aswell untill i can get a bigger tank because the assams are the ones i want but they need 40G plus.

Re: New BN fry pics
Haha im always like this i have about a 100 different ideas of how i could shuffle the tanks around so it might be a while before i run out. I think it will be alot easier to heat one divided tank and then they will be alot easier to move about and then i dont have the trouble of drilling glass because i would go nutty it i messed it up and knowing my luck i would.

Re: New BN fry pics
It was just a rib! You want all phases well thought out for sure. You might only have one chance in the near future!
I've have less to deal with at I can't make a final decision yet!. Since I'm waiting on money I have some time.
I had a 75L long bare tank delivered to me yesterday. Brings me to one 75L, 2 37L complete, 1 bare 18L, and 7.5L Hex. I'm not done either!

Re: New BN fry pics
Well the plan atm is to build a 4-5 foot tank and the stocking 1 albino male bn, 3 female (1 albino, 1 albino longfin, 1 brown) and 3-4 trios of apisto 1 trio of Apistogramma Agassizi, 1 trio of fire red Apistogramma Agassizi, 1 trio of Apistogramma Borellii and 1 trio of wild caught apisto of some type.
Thats good Any plans on stocking?
Im sure you will have them all set up soon i went from 1 to 4 within a few months lol.

Re: New BN fry pics
Some of the oldest fry look like there getting bristles. There coming around the sides of there face near the gills there tiny but i think they could be bristles. The ones that are getting then seem to be being a bit more territorial and dont like other fry to close to them. The albino female is getting huge so hopefully i will have some albino fry on the way soon.
