I think it would be fine. When you think how far they travel when they are imported..

as long as he's warm and bagged well Smile

Yep, leave buying him till you are leaving for home. If you can, pick up a little box from a supermarket, and pack a load newspaper around the fish bag thumbup

It'll be fine. Just think how shops get them.....they may spend 3 days in shipping from Asia.

I always buy bettas on holiday...cos I miss my babies so....I usually take the dog food in one of those square containers....and some water conditioner and some food just in case. I have got some lovely ones.....the other year we were at Brixham and I spent most of the holiday standing on a table in the garden trying to see next doors pond.... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Thats funny liz2, but the only reason why i wanted to look at bettas while i was on holiday is because when im at home (northwest of england) i notice that most bettas are sold in the south near cornwall and Devon...so even though im driving my hubby mad over bettas he's always willing to take me, i was disappointed today as we went to Maidenhead Aquatics near Dartford and they had none, where as my local MH as loads but not the tail type i want.
I think my hubby is so used to me being disappointed when ever we go to aquatic stores these days as thats why i needed advise about this little betta so i dont have to leave him behind!

Like glass or something? FYI check out this link too, it is good to know just in case, I think the flow being interrupted might be the key, but anyways, I read it before dividing and watch that tank for probs.

I dont know what to do, i went back to the aquatics store that i first saw the crowntail betta iv told you about and he was still there. The only thing is i asked the staff there for information about him, like how old he was and where he was bred and they just point blank said they didnt know. Also they said i couldnt reserve him or pay for him there and then and pick him up later...very unfriendly people but the betta is gorgeous...never really liked crowntail finnage before until i saw him. Love drool
So what should i do??? Should i go by what they said or just ignore everything they said, take a chance with him and see how it goes. confused

Right il go break in the shop now... lol! My hubby could see how upset i was when i left the shop this afternoon (yes i had a cry), he said i should go get him but i said no as i can be stubborn sometimes!! But now i think about it i want to give him a chance.
Since iv seen him iv been dreaming about him when iv gone to bed...1 weird dream was that i went back & i couldnt see him in his tank where id seen him b4, but when he saw it was me he'd hid himself under the sand & swam up to see me.
I think iv gone betta mad!
