Well just slightly older than you lol!

We feed ours 4 pellets twice a day. They get live bloodworm or brineshrimp once a week and one day a week nothing as a fast day.

Brineshrimp is very good for their digestion and some people will give a small piece of cooked and deshelled pea once a week which again is good for clearing out their system. That might help with his bloated belly.

I wanted to say when I was told about the peas that I should either do the pea in a seperate bowl or change the water after 24 hrs due to the amonia sick the pea can cause. I was using BettaMin Tropical Medley and bloodworms on alternating days and had just started the fasting day.

the pea is no issue for ammonia if you take out any left overs after the betta is done eating. actualy in my 29 gallon(very well cycled) I never bothered to take the little bits of leftovers out and those were always eventualy eaten and the ammonia never spiked.

I tend to feed Hikari bio gold pellets once a day, 3 pellets each. Started feeding a JBL betta food in the mornings, just a little bit as they sulk until pellet time on the eve lol They also get a bit of bloodworm once a week as a treat, and a no-feed day.

I can't seem to get the hang of the pea thing!

this made me think today.."Do I give enough calories for my hunnies?" so I want to ask you guys..I feed my babies once a day and i feed them 3 pallets.
Once a week I give them frozen blood worms and
fast day once a week.Is it healthy enough? I just don't want my babies to be thin

If your Betta is active and maintaining his weight then I would continue with how you're feeding. If you think he's starting to look abit thinner then give him another 3 in the evenings.

One of my bettas is fed 3-4 pellets once a day. Anything more than that and he seemed too full.

The other betta is on 3 pellets in the morning and 4 at night. Seems to be working perfectly for him. Both get a fast day.

Both are on Attison's betta pellets and get live brine shrimp once a week and a few blood worms once a week as a wee treat.

His sides will start to dip inwards if he loses weight.

To me he looks thin all the way from his head to his tail - like his face looks too big for his body in that pic. I think the body should be stockier than that

Definately very very underweight and also has fin rot. Not sure if he was bought like that but if so hopefully his new owner will feed him up and keep his water clean.

No Netty,The posts underneath the owner said that she's had him about a year, and she's clueless, thinks he has such 'graceful lines' crying That poor boy has been that way probably most of his life. tantrum How do people think that he looks beautiful is beyond me, he looks sad, hungry, and wilted.
