Moving Alphie... Empty Moving Alphie...

Post by jasminek Sun 13 Dec 2009 - 14:20

Hey All.
Alphies been a bit off lately, and i've been wondering why and i put my hand in his tank water to get a dead leaf out and its cold the water, checked the thermometer and its on 69 which i realize is pretty low (Also he has no visable signs of illness). The heat mat obviously isn't giving off a steady heat. At christmas I get my new Juwel rio 125l tank which comes with a 100w heater, which i can use for the girls tank then give Alphie there 25w heater, I think the best thing is to move alphie over to the girls tank until i get the new tnak on the 25th so i can move the heater out and sort all tanks out.
I think putting him in a breeding trap wouldn't be very fair, what do you suggest?
I could try find something then divide a section off for him but i can't go out today to the pet stores or anywhere as mums working and my house is quite far out from shops.
The girls tank is at a steady 79 and has been for a while.
Any ideas appreciated.
(Also no point ordering another heater when i'll be getting one in 12 days)
Thankyou.

Okayy will move him over shortly, but won't he be flaring madly at the girls?
He already has ripped a bit of his under finnage because the paper inbetween the tanks fell down and he was flaring madly, only realized when i got back from the shop.

He was alright in their overnight and hes fine now, just too much flaring. May put material around the breeding trap so he can't see them.
