What do you think moving Calcifer? Empty What do you think moving Calcifer?

Post by lilacamy931 Sat 28 Nov 2009 - 20:53

As you may know I lost Tiny Tim earlier this week, nothing bad just old age I think. I have been thinking about moving Calcifer to the spare spot (on an end slot) in the OAP tank as
1) Want to take his tank down so Alex can set his marine up and one less tank for me to worry about
2) Also Calcifer is a big boy with heavy finnage and does have problems at times with the height of the tank (whereas the OAP tank will be just under 5g for himself, not 10g shared with lamps who he is getting grumpy with in old age) and hope it will be more relaxing for my little diva.
The reason I ask is little worried as out of all the boys I have ever had he is a complete star diva and dramaqueen. All the other boys get along quite well (touch wood). I was thinking of devising a lip for his part of the tank to solve jumping problems.
I also feel guilty...as he always had more attention being beside the computer (think Im being a silly sausage).

I think its a good idea and you can always keep the water level a bit lower than you do normally mine arent jumpers but I do it anyway to keep piece of mind!

Thanks guys, he is the diva but I think I will try it out, it would be better for him in terms of resting and finnage, it may just be culture shock. I am expecting major strops lol

I'm sure he'll be fine once settled Smile Its like moving house, at first you don't know if you like it but once you've been there a while you start to like it.

It can do them the world of good being moved as you found out with Onyx. We quite often move boys around until we find a tank they are happy in [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
