Our local rep shop has closed:(

A friend of ours had a Rep shop, which was about 20 minutes drive. Always used to go there to get crickets and locusts as he was cheaper than the shop closer to us, and always had stock in. But he's closed down

His favorite Reticulated Python died about 6 weeks ago and i think he lost faith, and with the current economic climate it was probably the last straw:(

What a shame to hear someone close down. Its is a struggle for everyone but ive found that the cheapest doesnt always pay. People are buying as convienence more than price even though they are moaning about prices. We get people moan constantly about the prices in the other shops they buy from but they still continue to buy from them. It doesnt make any sense at all.

The difference in price was quite substantial when you add it up over time. For instance his large mice were 80p and the place closer to me sell theirs at £1.50 !!

Colin showed me how much he paid trade, and the other shop had a 200% mark up. The thing with this other place is that they have never got what i want, when i want it:( They only order in the bare minimum, so if a customer buys extra another one goes without.

Colin did recently have to make price increases, due to the increase in overheads, but i think losing his snake had more to do with making the final decision to close:(

I'm sorry to hear he's closed down:( It's nice when you find a decent place to buy from an must be gutting to have them close down. We travel the 25 mins to Modaz now due to the fact nowhere else around here sells what we want.

Mmmmmmmm there's nothing like a proper Cornish pasty I love you

We'll be sure to bring you some up too. We have a hot box in the van so we can keep them warm on the way up.

a pasty is the small sticky bit of tape a exotic dancer wears over part of the female chest in addition to the g string in order to pass for not nude to be legal in parts of the us.
