Our next shipment

Sorry members but this shipment has been cancelled. Not by myself but the supplier. The list they had given me was outdated and its really annoyed me beyond belief that they sent me a list of what was not available. News on our other source is expected tomorrow as there is apparently a message on the answer machine for me about their bettas. This one can do Giant bettas too but I wont go into their stuff until i know for sure whats going on.

So sorry! i was really excited about this lot coming in too....

both myself and the dropshipper think that they gave priorty to the USA customers. So we lost out. I got 2 lists over 2 weeks so this cant be out of date.

well i wouldve had my own fry ready but ive had 16 failed spawns in a row now. Never had it sooooooo bad with spawns usually ive got fry all over the place.

got a nice giant genetype pair from Dusky that Ive set up, brother and sister they are and their Dad was massive and mum was a good size too. The female is a halfmoon, never actually found a true HM female before they always seem to be SD or just short of HM so fingers crossed for super duper Giant HMPK in the future.

ive had a seriously bad run with spawns as well. it is so frustrating to have so many failed spawns with fish that have given me live healthy fry before.

I ended up taking a break because tim and I are heading to the fertility clinic this sept. hopefully there will be more then fry comming in the next few months.

Well ive stopped getting annoyed with the failed spawns now, ive got them in the shop again where the humidity is high as i think this helped produce a lot of fry in the past at home its very dry so to speak and i think this is the issue even when the tanks are covered. The tanks at work are blacked out on 3 sides as well so this may also help with spawns as they tend to build in the back corner. Gunna take these giant genos in tomorrow and do them there. They should produce solid red and what i can describe as cherry in colour.

Someone on another forum always used to say hers spawned when the weather was humid and thundery, probably the same sort of conditions! I had a beautiful vt turquoise and he lived for 3 years in the bathroom! Had a glass bowl with sand in the bottom and natural weed. He always had a bubble nest on the go, name was Val, cos I got him one valentines day! Nice an humid in the bathroom.

im convinced this is an issue to succeed. Cant wait for fry again, i miss looking after them as much as i moan about raising them. In the wild bettas spawn just before the rainy season due to the floods carrying the fry away to new pastures and this time would be very humid i would imagine.
