Re: star moss??
yes! its not a true aquatic moss and will die with in a couple of months, very slow growing so you dont even see the impact that it would be if grown emersed.
Najas on the other hand is WONDERFUL!!!!! comes in nice bunches about 15 stems per bunch on this species.

Re: star moss??
We learnt the hard way with star moss, ordered some, it turned up and the second we took it out the bag it fell into tiny pieces, daz is right it is not aquatic, it actually comes from deserts and can dry out for months and still live.
Re: star moss??
thanks for letting me know,
think im going to get some from daz,
been looking but there are so many
so going to sort tanks out first then play around
and order.

Re: star moss??
What a bummer... Bought some of it 3 weeks ago. Will it really die? No way to make it work? I put it in and it is growing these tiny little green hairs/roots/tendrils. I thought that was a good sign... : (
