Hey Cherrydanio
Helloooo
In answer to your question about Bubblenests
Not all males build nests In fact some never ever build a nest even when spawning. If your boy is eating well, active and his tail is improving then i am sure he's absolutely fine :D

Re: Hey Cherrydanio
Hehe aw thanks! I was getting round to posting it on here. I was just out buying guppies though. Good to know he is happy. I'm going to post some pics of him and his tank once he has healed a bit more. Maybe you can answer my next question? (pretty please??? :: ) I have an 85L which I am planning on putting a few female guppies (maybe 4-5), a few albino corys (again 4-5) and I was wondering.... some lady bettas? Would this work? If not I'l just stick with female bettas but If possible I would like the other fish too. I heart your new forum by the way!

Re: Hey Cherrydanio
Hi again:)
I guessing an 85L is about a 3ft tank. If its planted and scaped thoughtfully, then yeh it could be fine. I'd up the corys to a minimum of 6, cant comment on the best ratio of guppies (hopefully a guppy person can though....Daz), and maybe try a minimum of 5 female bettas.
To be on the safe side I'd put the bettas in last, otherwise they will establish a territory which they may not want invaded:)
Try using plants and ornaments to divide the tank lengthways. This will cut down on the line of sight from one end to the other and hopefully reduce any problems.

Re: Hey Cherrydanio
Thanks for the input I was going to divide the tank up and have a fry section (I want to try my hand at breeding guppies! Just for fun, my LFS will give me free fish and beardie food in exchange for the babies) but I have decided to get a seperate fry tank instead. It all depends on the bettas and guppies getting on though. I currently only have males but they are staying in their own tank (the males and females will only be meeting in the fry tank under controlled conditions so no males will ever be in the 85L). I have my heart set on getting some lady bettas though!

Re: Hey Cherrydanio
Its one of those things?? But i can see it working with the right set-up :D Plenty of artificial bounderies made with plants, wood etc
If you do try it and it doesn't work out, you could always whack a divider straight down the middle :D
