What kind of other fish? Hopefully they are compatible.
I feed mine pellets, frozen bloodworms & brine shrimp. nce a week or so shelled mashed pea. Just look through old post in the health section.

Hi, first off you need a filter and a heater in your tank, thats the basics, then the well fare of your betta feed twice daily you can feed any of the foods 2tall has mentioned above.
Give your betta plants and a coconut cave to hide in so he's not bored and he can play if he likes.
Water changes once a week about 25% of water not too much as this can unsettle your betta.

The number one most important thing to remember is not to over feed your betta. If it gets constipated it can die. My sister in law recently fed the juvenile betta I gave to her to death. I bred it myself too.
You can also get plants for your betta to hide in or lay on. Some form of live food once in a while. My adult betta loves meal worms and adult brine shrimp.
