hi everyone..just a question....i am from australia and wanted to get a blue and white hm male and a guy has a website here and he tells me he can get one for around 180 aus dollars?? i have seen some on other sites and they are soooo much cheaper..in most LFS here i can only get vt and ct..do you think he may be ripping me off or is that the price.??..i know they are beautiful boys but that seems alot. thanks

Just converted 180 aus dollars to british pounds and id say yes they are ripping you off as it works out at £121 for a hm betta.

thanks guys....i thought so..when i asked him to break down the cost he tells me he only makes five dollars profit scratch

i was like why would you do all that shipping and other stuff for five dollars??? oh well i wish it was easier to get half moons here...i find them beautiful Love

Wow I almost died seeing how much this person was trying to rip you off for. the most expensive betta I've ever seen are about 50 US dollars and those are the ones that have been bred by professionals who know's the Phenotype, genotype, possible recessive genes and so on.

Good thing you dodged that bullet there. If you can I'd suggest getting this guy banned from this site or something to help others avoid falling into his scam. You'd be surprised how much people are willing to pay for bettas they really want.

A neighbor of my mom's friend bought a betta for 2,000 dollars. He never received his fish.
