Hello from Virginia!
So happy to find a site to share stories with other Betta lovers! I currently have four beautiful males and have recently bought the all a Betta Log for their homes, and I have to say, if you have a Betta, this is a must have item! It may take a day or two for them to use it, but after that, they seem to really enjoy swimming in and out of it and also taking a rest break inside their log. Looking forward to a lot of information on this site!
Re: Hello from Virginia!
Welcome to Betta Paradise, sadly activity has died out, but there are still people who stop in at times. I'm hoping that this site will revive at some point in time. You see, I'm also a newer member to this site. It may be quiet, but at least it has information about betta care.

Re: Hello from Virginia!
Thank you, Amphitrite! It's a great site and hopefully it will catch on again real soon. Personally, I think snatching Bettas from their natural environment and selling them in pet shops should be stopped, but I have long ago found that I cannot save the world. I recently "saved" four only because I knew I could give them a good home and get them out of those tiny plastic containers they are forced to live in. I am an extreme animal lover and believe that all "wild" animals should stay that way. I call attention to this any chance I get, but like I said, I can't fight the world. Thank you for your kind welcome!

Welcome to Paradise! Glad to have new people on board.
Except for the "Wild Bettas" the ones in pet stores are bred in captivity for
sale. That is their purpose. If you see one that catches your eye at least
it has good chance of a decent home with affection.
