went into my lps yesterday and they said they had some bettas coming in. Went in today for a look see, no boys but about 20 girls. Notice on tank saying "not for sale" Looking at the girlies some of them were really tatty, 2 looked like young pk males to me. Talking to the bloke he said they came yesterday they put them in with some platies, and then noticed the platies had white spot!! So whole tank was being treated! Well the platies were all huddled up one corner and most of the bettas were fighting! I am afraid I came out in disgust, but I might pop back in a day or so to see how they are going on.....

What are they doing there. A new shipment should be isolated to begin with.

nipped in the shop today. tank is still not being sold yet they said they will sell them on Tuesday. There are no platies left and the little girls are in a bad way. so sad. there must have been at least say 15, what profit have they made! poor little things... Sad

Do you plan on buying any? I know if they look a bit tatty it makes you want
to rescue them. If you do buy any it supports poor treatment and conditions.

Its one those "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situations. Personally I
hope you do, but make sure its one you'd bought under better conditions.

sounds awful Liz i would be tempted to take a few at discount price, saying that my LFS usually gives me the tatties free as they have no chance of selling them
