Post by Lilfishie Wed 30 Mar 2011 - 13:37

I am thinking of taking my girls out of the community and giving them there own tank with a few cories, probably the 9 Trilii i have in my 60l now there growing well.

How many girls could i safely fit into a heavily planted 90l tank?

Found a Fluval Roma 90 local to me for £40 on ebay which im tempted by Very Happy

Oh my goodness, I must be across the pond from all of you. LOL. I need a measuring and money converter! I'm used to thinking in gallons and dollars. Ha.

As long as its big enough to fit all your girlies. I think it would be great to have them together. The basic rule on my side is 1 inch of fish per gallon of tank. Don't know how helpful that is to you...

The one inch of fish rule doesn't really apply as it depends on your level of filtration and planting, and with female bettas it's better to have them slightly overstocked if anything to minimise aggression between individuals.

What sort of filter are you going for? You could have more girls if you go for an external.

it will be an internal probably a Fluval 3+ or something, i am always one for over filtering even when planted. I am planning on having lots of wood and plants in this one and thinking of moving my L052 pleco over too
