Betta Sorority?
I was wondering about starting a Betta Sorority(of course they would be all females), but am I not ready? Is it hard to run a Betta sorority? Do you have any tips for me? Are there any good websites that would be helpful? I was thinking I would start doing it now and then make Betta Sorority what I do mostly. Thanks!

Re: Betta Sorority?
Try and get as big a tank as possible, for all that they are less aggressive than males they can still fight when they want to. I Had 9 in a 30G and they ripped each other to shreds for months no matter what i did. I wouldnt go for anything less than a 20G and IMO you want to have atleast 5. If you want for a 20G you could have
6 Female bettas
1 Bristlenose plec
10 Pygmy or panda corys or 8 bigger corys

Re: Betta Sorority?
I have a sorority, my tank is 95 litres and i have around 15 females in there at the moment...i wouldnt say its hard to keep females BUT keep in mind they can be aggressive towards one another especially when you first start adding females as they are battling for dominance!
Id add at least 3-4 in at first no less as the other will be bullied, you'll need lots of hiding places and lots of plants whether they are live or silk (i have both) I have coconut caves, driftwood, plants, moss...just make it interesting for the girls.
What size tank where you thinking of using? Id say the bigger the better! (no its not an excuse to buy lots of females, LOL!!)
Here's my sorority:

I do have 4 corys and a male BN in there also at the moment
Hope this helps a little

Re: Betta Sorority?
Thanks! Amazing tank by the way. I was thinking of getting a ten gallon tank. Would that be okay? I would probably get 4 or 5 female Bettas and that's all.
