Question about bubble nests
Hi all,
Just wondering, if a betta rarely builds a bubble nest, is that a sign that he feels insecure in his home or is that no big deal? My betta Flame used to build bubble nests but stopped after I put a snail in the tank. He is very active though, eats well and is quite friendly.

Not all males will build so it's nothing to worry about. If he's active and eating well then he's a happy chap

Yeah he should be fine. Once he gets used to the snail he may build again. Do you have something to float in the water? Sometimes that will tempt them to build. My VT wouldn't build at all unless something was floating.

Quite a few of my boys don't nest build unless there is a female in eyesight. I'm sure your boy will be fine, and as Mesa sayd you can try adding an IAL or floating plant to tempt him to nest
