Hello everyone! I'm a new beta owner and my new fishy has me worried, so I've come here for answers. I'm gonna look around first and see if anyone else's fishy has had the same problems and if not then post about it and see if someone can help. But I plan to stick around longer than that if this place is active enough.

Welcome to the forum! I don't know where you are and I'm in the states. I new to Bettas myself and the smart ones are in bed now. They are 8 hrs. ahead of me.
Good idea looking around the older post as theres plenty of good information!

Yeah, I didn't see anything remotely close to my problem so I posted it and just finished a bio of my beauties. I'm EST time zone in the USA.

Awesome ^_^

I'll retire for the night then. my fishy seems calm right now, hovering just above his rocks for the most part, dorsal fin 1/2 raised, an occasional light swim around to get a bubble then he swims back down. I wonder if I should be consistent with the lighting he's exposed to, like make sure he gets a night/day cycle of lighting because sometimes I take him with me around the house and late at night like now I have a light on when he should be sleeping.

Starting to sound like my second child, lol. Exposing him to the right environment not just in his watery home but outside it too, lol.

Can a TV on at night disturb his day-night cycle too??

Lol....too many questions to ask!
