Anacharis help Empty Anacharis help

Post by elliriyanna Mon 19 Jul 2010 - 19:07

I bought some anacharis yesterday and I was told you can clip it and replant it to make more plants. ( i dont have tons of money so this was great for me ) But I just realized I have no idea how to clip them or make them shoot roots. Is there anything I specifically need to do? Or just cut them? Is there a special way to cut them?

Also do they need plant food or anything?

Anacharis grow pretty quickly. You can just pinch off part of the plant and either let it float or bury it in the gravel. The roots don't really do anything but help it anchor itself within your tank. I've actually cut several of the roots off of my plant and it just continued to grow and take over my tank.
