Froggos!
I had to post some pics of my ADF's! They're so funny, I look at them for ages just watching the silly things they do, and how they play with my betta that they live with.

They're adorable !!! They're a lot cuter than the ones I've seen in the states.

Re: Froggos!
Haha, thanks you guys. They're so adorable, and have gotten so tame in a little amount of time! The only annoying thing (apart from them trying to break into Spike's breeding trap in the tank) is that they're so lazy that I have to hand feed them bloodworm every other day! They love me putting it right by their mouths, and wait for me with begging eyes everytime I come to watch the tank. They're my frog babies! :-D
You should get some for your sorority tank Nat! They'd have a lovely big playground with lots of hidey places, and maybe they'd distract your girls from fighting. x

Very nice. ive always liked adfs but never kept one. If you do get one make sure there ADFs not ACF because ACF get to about 4" and are very aggressive. ADFS dont come in albinos and have webbed feet where as ACF can be brown or albino and dont have webbed feet.

Re: Froggos!
nod@kiz. I had a mild panic attack when I bought them home and saw their tiny little black claws, I thought I'd made a mistake and got ACF's, but you can easily tell the difference if you look up pics and info online before you buy.
I'd recommend ADF's to anyone, they're very easy to keep if you're familiar with the standard tropical routine, very low waste too, and SO much fun to watch, especially at night when they're more active. As I said before, my only complaint is that they're so lazy you pretty much have to handfeed them, and they have quite bad eyesight too so I've heard which makes foraging hard if you drop the food in for them.

Re: Froggos!
Im not sure how true it is though because a couple of places say its for ACF which you dont want to get mixed up.
EDIT: I just had another look and a few places say adf name is Hymenochirus Curtipe. I would go for this because more of them seem to use this as a scientific name.

Re: Froggos!
Hmm only just seen this thread got bumped LOL. Here's a more recent pic of the tank. I replaced the gravel with sand in August, as the frogs couldn't burrow properly in the gravel.

Re: Froggos!
It is indeed! The frogs are soon going to have the tank to themselves as I'm moving the VT into my super deluxe new divided giant tank this month ^^

Re: Froggos!
It's a nice little thing, the filter it comes with is terrible though, I recently replaced it with a Fluval 2+. For box aquariums, I really love the Super Fish Aqua-Qubes. They look so smart and the panaramic viewing is really cool. They're a bit pricey though, so I got a 40L one from eBay for £25!!! I get nearly all my tanks from eBay, LOL!

Re: Froggos!
I'll take some more pics of my most recent scape with the aquabox for you tomorrow :-) I do have an Aqua-Qube 40 but it's set up for spawning at the moment, but I'll show you what I've done with it to give you an idea.
Yey for your new tank :-)
