Ok thankyou . I'm planning on getting a racking system to hold 10 - 15 litre plastic fishtanks .

Yeah of course. I was going to have a racking system, but i've been offered a very large coffee table which will fit both my community tank, 10gal and have enought room for 8 ish 15litre faunariums so I can hopfully start breeding .

Sounds good (Y) Wish I had space to put more tanks!
Just be warned with breeding, you'll need much more than 15 for the spawn, you're looking at anything up to 200 really.

Re: Whats the minimum sized tank?
Personally i wouldn't keep them in less than 5 gal on a permanant basis, but everyone has a different opinion. Just bear in mind that the heater, filter and any plants and gravel/sand that you put in are gonna lower the volume of water for the fish.

I have a few airpumps and going to make DIY Sponge filters and have been told that Reptile heat cable (which I have from my reptile keeping days) on a thermostat is ok to use under the tanks?.

Well im not 100% on the breeding part yet, but have a community tank that I might strip down to use as a spawning tankRezz wrote:Sounds good (Y) Wish I had space to put more tanks!

Re: Whats the minimum sized tank?
Hope it all goes ok. And agreeing with everyone else, I wouldn't go less than 3g.
