Going to see a puppy on Sunday!

Ello, well recently my dad said I was aloud a dog so I started searching for one. One of my family friends has 2 cavaliers (that's the breed i'm getting) and she found some reputable breeders for me as she shows hers. It's a black and tan cavalier and he'll be ready on the 28th, so hopefully the lady will allow us to buy him!

However, me and Netty have been involved with showing dogs for some years and have taken great interest in keeping up to date with various issues surrounding dog breeds. The reason i wouldn't ever consider a Cavalier is due to the inherant health problems within the breed. The BBC uncovered a complete disregard for Cavaliers health by "reputable" KC registered breeders. For instance, a very well known and reputable breeder of Cavaliers continued to show and use a particular dog for breeding, despite knowing it had "Heart mitral valve disease". This is an inherant disease that affects possibly 50% of all Cavaliers over the age of 5. It is a terminal disease:( The KC officers knew about this, but choose to do nothing because the breeder has such a big influence in the dog world.

Awww....I bet you must be so excited. I picked my little Badger of out of the litter when he was just 2 days old lol didn't pay though cos I have Dad and had pick of the litter instead of stud fee.

I bet you've bought loads of stuff for him.

aww, he was last pick of the litter as she sold the rest to her friends. Yea we went out and bought everything yesterday, we already had a cage as we have cats and we have loads of old blankets. We bought food,toys,bed,bedding,treats,clicker trainer and a black collar and lead.

Lol going to be one spoilt little puppy. I just love their puppy smell and then they grow up and smell of rotten fish lol

You'll have to get lots of pics and videos once he's settled in.

Yea he's gonna be spoilt but trained, I did want a tri-colour but when I saw Dexter's lil squigy face I had to have him
