Well my excuse this time, was that this little one was destined to be snake food and there was no way I was letting that happen so here is my little 5 week old curly coated mouse Buttons and his new home lol!

This is his huuuuuge cage.

Thanks Rezz.....I know we feed our snakes frozen mice but as soon as I saw this little one I had to have him. I've still got lots of things to get for him to play with and climb so will add them gradually so he always has different things going in.

oh netty you are much much worse than me. He is cute I used to keep mice as a child. The 2 "girls" turned out to be male and female and they had loads of babies who all escaped one night and scooted into mum and dads bedroom and were found chomping the apples stored under the bed! Then all the babies and the Dad went back to the pet shop so I had mum and one girl. A mouse from outside came into my bedroom and got stuck in the bars of the cage and my dad had to get some wire cutters to let him out. Tee hee! Then one year I took my pet mouse to the seaside for a weeks holiday. In a small cage Dad made, had him in a bag on my lap in the coach. The old ladies would have had a fit if he had got out! Happy days, and memories !! bu..er thats made me cry thinking of mum and dad!

Thanks guys Ooops another one Icon_biggrin

LOL @ Liz. I was never allowed anything as a child so me and my friend snuck into town and bought a hamster each. She told her parents she had found it so they bought a lovely cage and let her keep it. I hid mine under my bed for a week until Mum found it and went mad. I didn't get the cage though.....she made me take it back to the shop Ooops another one 417206

They're not as red as an albino but the flash does bring it out more lol

He does look a podge when he's sat like that and his fur is quite thick and soooo soft.

Lol, I'm glad my LFS doesn't sell live feeders, or I'd end up taking all of 'em home! xD

I know he sells some of them as pets, some he feeds to his own snakes (dead, never live) and some go as feeder food. I know most people with lots of snakes do breed mice specifically as feeders. But if you only have a few then it's cheaper to get them already frozen.
