If it's a stem-plant then it's Hygrophila difformis alright, going by the shape of the leaves. The growth rate would fit in too.

It's not stemmed at all. The underneath is very typical root system to a floating plant. If it helps I can get a pic from the underside.

Well I've got two of them, so I may move one into the 70litre that I'm just setting up. Also thought they would be great for spawning tanks too but as a floating plant for the fry.
