The Importance of Voting

I thought I would remind members, and advise newer members, of the importance of the three buttons at the top of the home page -



I would like to ask all users to just take a few moments of their time each day to click and vote each of the three ranking sites. These sites are good tools to heighten the profile of the forum, which in turn can lead to gaining new members.
The first two buttons give you a "Enter to vote" button, but the third, "fish topsites", you need to scroll down to Betta Paradise and click the banner to register the vote.

Since the forum started, we have done very well in our growth, but its now even harder to continue growing. There is a lot of competition from other forums and anything we can do to raise our profile would be a benefit to all members. I believe that this forum offers something that other forums dont, and that is a warm and friendly community where no question is to small or silly :D

There are three other buttons - Betta Paradise which takes you to our website. There you will find sales and all the information you need about Bettas. Aquarium Links which is a library of fish sites. Mellys Store where you will visit Mellys own store of pampering products:)

Thanks to everyone for their continued support, as without you the members, there would be no forum :D

is it just me or when you vote, the #number doesnt seem to be going up.

I think they have a fault or something...!

One of them is weird, cant remember which one? Maybe it takes a while to register the vote?

Voting increases the likelihood of exposure, which in turn increases members. With more members there is more likelihood that someone will be online to help or give advice

The problem me and Netty have is that it will only accept one vote from our ip in a 24 hour period

So... I have asked about this before but got nowhere lol - Am I voting for this forum?

And how often do I vote?

right - I think I got it - but I can only work out how to vote on the first one - the second two do I have to join up to first?

The 3 main ranking systems are - Aquarank, Aquarium rater and fish Topsites. (the first 3 in the line of buttons)
When you click Aquarank the page says "vote for this site". Once you click that it registers your vote.
When you click Aquarium rater the next page says "Enter and vote" or Enter without voting". Click "enter and vote" and it registers your vote.
When you click Fish Topsites the next page shows a list of sites. Scroll down to Betta Paradise and click the banner to register the vote.

Thats it really Takes less than a minute to do all three You can only vote once in every 24hrs. Any more and it wont register anyway.

Which site would you like to vote for The buttons are directly link to this forum so thats how the ranking site knows where the vote is coming from.

lol I had never looked before - thats why I asked, then decided to have a nose instead lol

Aquarium Rater - CANNOT for the life of me see enter and vote - or next page

do I have to join? can anyone show me a screen shot to see where I'm going wrong?

Topsites - clicked on the banner and it opned this site back up - does that mean I have registered?

you have to click on SITE STATISTICS then rate and review
