Hi guys :o)

HI, Im very new to Betta's, getting my first one tomorrow.......so excited. He is a HMPK in blue/red, 4.5 months old. Was going to call him Eclipse (after the half moon bit lol) but may go with Luna instead, seems softer somehow....

I had my tank all set-up and ready to go, just needed the heater, my house temp is holding water at 21C so I feel it needs a little boost, but when I asked the manufacturer of the tank they said I couldn't use a 25w heater in the 21litre plastic tank I had. So I am off to the LFS this afternoon to buy a new 25litre glass tank and transfer it all over today so I can get the heater set ready for tomorrow when he arrives.

No doubt I will be here asking questions a lot over the next few weeks, be patient with me lol Just praying he is okay when he arrives, fingers crossed

LOL, thanks for the welcome. Looking forward to this new arrival so much. He is not a perfect specimen, I think his fins were not up to par for showing/breeding but I don't care, he is going to be a much loved pet so I don't mind if he's a bi wonky. Something about him just jumped at me when I saw him and I knew I had to have him, faults and all :D
So please don't judge him too harshly when he arrives, he may be sensitive. Now just have to make sure he's okay when he gets here, Im nervous to say the least, won't rest till the mail van arrives in the morning

to the forum babyd and don't forget to put up pics of your new boy when he's settled. Most of us have had wonky bettas at sometime but it doesn't make them any less pretty and I'm sure he'll be full of character

, sure he wil be a stunner, i have a imperfect DRCT but i love him all the same, i saw him and had to have him :Love:
