Bootsie is home..More pics 17.10.09
Picked my little baby up yesterday and he is absolutely gorgeous and so friendly. A real credit to his breeders Had him out tonight just for 30mins and he's still a little shy being in his new home and don't want to rush him so no pics yet. He did have a good feed overnight which is a good sign and hopefully he'll soon be running around like he's always been here
But here is his home.
He does seem to quite like my smelly t-shirt which he was chewing on, on the way home and then annointing himself
And just a little peek at the baby...you can just make out his little black nose

Just had another little handling session with him. Was up spraying the cresties and he was mooching about so took him out for another quick cuddle. Van managed to get some pics of him for me

Thanks guys....he's just so gorgeous and funny. At one point he climbed into the pouch on the front of my sweatshirt and curled up. I thought OMG how will I get him out now but after a while he reversed himself bum first out again :lol!:
I'll tell you what though....their poopies are friggin huge like sausages :lol!:

Well I bought him a couple of fleece lined pouches and he's curled up in Scooby Doo at the moment LOL
I'm going to try to handle around the same time each night for the moment. I know some people do wake them during the daytime but I'd rather let him settle in first.

Thanks Crystal....once he's abit more active I'll try to get a little video of him :D
The pouches are great. A lady on the hoggie forum makes them for a fiver each and you get a choice of colours and patterns. Scooby is what I brought him back in so I guess that's why he's always in that one lol

Soooo adorable! I love those little critters. Where I grew up, you'd see them at night in the park and garden when you were walking your dog. Always wanted one... ::

Yep....alot of people keep them in zoozones but the largest size which is 100cm long. You can also use rabbit hutches or vivariums but need to make more ventilation in those.
Once he's more settled he'll be able to run around the rep room when he's awake but at the moment he still prefers to climb on me instead :lol!:
I've seen some great conversions where people have used old sideboards or cupboards and put in two levels with a little ramp to get to the top lol

yep, my rabbit alfie has a 2 storey hutch!
You can also get those sun houses, the one for kids as they have 2 levels aswell.

Just a quick pic of Bootsie in his pouch. He's doing great and so far loves sweetcorn, chicken & mealworms. Not so keen on scrambled egg so will be trying potato cakes or mince next lol
