HELP CRAZY NEONS
Hi somthing seems strange with the neon tetras today, they are all chasing each other brushing there tummy agaist plants and rocks. What could it be

Does it look like they have any white spots like salt on them or a fine dusting or powder. Normally fish flicking off things is a sign of parasites eg Ich or Velvet.

What are your water stats Storm? Do you have a test kit so you can check them?

I would recommend getting an API kit. If there are traces of ammomia or nitrite...that could be why they are behaving this way. Is this your new tank that hasn't cycled yet? If so are you doing daily water changes?

Well its been cycled for about 2 weeks now, im doing small water changes every second day. :D

The problem is it can take anywhere up to 12 weeks for a tank to cycle fully so in the meantime would need to be doing daily water changes of between 25 - 50% to keep all the levels down. Even a small amount of ammonia and nitrate can harm your fish so you'll need to be very vigilant and not overfeed them and clean out any uneaten food daily.
