He said YES!!!!
I do so love my hubby Van  He's finally given in to letting me have a Pygmy Hedgehog
And this is the little baby boy I'm getting. He wont be ready till the end of the month so have time to set up his new home.
Haven't decided on name yet but need to let the breeder know so he can have his name put on his registration papers!!!!
So it could be Bracken, Wizbit, Bootsie, Twitch or anything else I can think of
So here's my new little baby to be

Re: He said YES!!!!
they have these at a pet shop by us. I think they are great but there should be a law of who can sell them (is there) the only reason i say this is b/c this place will just sell them to anyone as long as the till makes a noise.
lovely little boy though. do they hybernate?

OMG he's soooooo cute  trouble is Lacy wants one now lmao
She's sat here cuddling cos we just sent Midas to fishy heaven - to go and live in Nanny Boos fish tank
I told her she'll have to wait until she's old enough to look after one
What care do they need Netty ?

Re: He said YES!!!!
Daz......there is a registry for reputable breeders of APHs called the UKAPH which means they have to follow their code of ethics.
They don't recommend buying from shops because most times you don't know where they've come from and won't have been handled much, plus I think they are more likely to have health problems sometimes.
My little boy is coming from a breeder and has been handled daily. You get some food and bedding from them plus aftercare if you have any problems. Plus you have to answer questions from them too.
Pip...they are housed in either a vivarium with plenty of ventilation, Zoozone or indoor rabbit hutch. Need a wheel for running on. Their staple diet is cat biscuits, and you can feed cooked dry mince, chicken, some fruit and veg, meal worms & locusts but just as a treat. They are mainly awake at nightime but some do come out during the day for brief periods. Most times they will use a small cat litter tray for doing their business if provided.

Re: He said YES!!!!
Well most times they are out anywhere after about 7.00 or 8.00pm so not too late LOL But like you say...we're nocturnal creatures too :lol!:
