VICTORY

Guess what I have just finished setting up!!!!! My tank in the kitchen!!! I decided that I only use the streiliser and toaster once a day for max ten mins each and I neve use them at the same time so have put them in a cupboard so they are out of the way so I have a nice big space!!!

I've solved the problem of the fish hating boyfriend because he was being a nasty pasty last night so I wouldn't talk to him all this morning. Told him I wouldn't forgive him until he let me set it up

Therefore the outcome of this story is Lexi is off to button moon!! AKA the LFS!!!!!!!!! the best bit is its a 6 gal tank so can get two in there if I wish not buying two today but going to have a good look and try and find either a stunner or a battered one and demand they give him to me for free!!!

Moral of this to all boys out there dont be mean and we wont guilt trip you into letting us get more fish!!

Well I went to my normal LFS and they had no fighters in what so ever so I went to my local pets at home never been before but their tanks are spotless was very inpressed except that the bettas were in tanks with others which I dont like. There was one left a blue/green one in with loads of tetras so I snapped him up!! will get pics up!! now on the look out for my next boy to go with him. Going searching all sites now!!

yay! Nice one Lexi! You are not all that far from me if you drive, there is a shop called Meadow View Fish Farm near to Ashton Under lyne that gets its new bettas in on a Monday, most are your bog standard but occasionally they get beauties. i got my Baby from there, he was a real stunner, only VT but the most beautiful mustard gas I have ever seen, and for a vt he had such long beautiful fins and tail! Also Splodge to DTVT is from there, as is my new betta Bubbles (the purple and pink one I took ages to name!)

I had no doubt at all that you would wangle your tank in the kitchen....have fun looking for new Bettas

Well I'm trying to get a good pic but I keep just getting flash rebound off the tank how do you guys stop this?? the light above his tank isn't working so unless i get steve to change the bulb I need the flash. will keep trying but ATM I just keep getting a bright blob with green fins off it!! :lol!:

he is a right little character he goes up for air and then swims really fast with his head and beard out the water and dives to the bottom. Is this normal or do I have a strange fish???

I have a light!!! I promised Steve I would walk to the shop for his beer and he did it for me!! I'm not being a typical girl not changing a light bulb they are those long thin halogen ones and I would probally break it I'm that clumsy!! :lol!:

Congratulations Lexi!! A bit of emotional blackmail goes a long way! Can't wait to see what the little guy looks like x
