upside down fish

Not sure if I have posted about this fish or not. But abut 5 or 6 weeks ago my fave aquatic shop gave me a telescopic eyed fancy fish that someone had brought in. He was and still is upside down. The person said he hadnt always been like that. Anyway I put him in about 4 inches of water and treated him with sb meds, but to no avail. He stays upside down. It is quite sad to see. Anyway he has now developed a fungus like cotton wool on his eyes and his fins. His top fin when he would be right way up is really bad. I think that is caused by it always being on the floor of his tank. I treated him with myaxin and it made no difference. I currently am treating him with aqua salt. I dont want him to suffer, and will use meds but not sure which to use. I defrosted some fish food yesterday and he was so sweet. I put it on a cocktail stick near his mouth and he was eating it off the stick. Any ideas please?

I managed to get rid of the fungus, but over the past week the fish has got steadily weaker. I put him in clean water, I have another fish with sb issues so he has had company for the last month. This morning I realised he had swam over the Bridge. I did try little fish I am sorry you had such a topsy turvy life style. xx
