Well, no she wasn't expensive. I think the general price for budgie breeders around here is from £10-£20. I think the price I've seen that's higher is for breeding stock. She was £12, and apparently bred from show stock.

I've moved her up the stairs, to see if a few days out of everyones road does any good. But now she's chirping away up there.

if bleeding from the nostrils and beak get it to a vet. ignore the "watch and see what happens" this is the usual thing said from people who dont know what the answer is. Bleeding from the nose in any living thing isnt good.

oh and it looks like a young male to me, as there is some blue coming on the flesh at the top of beak. unless its the picture showing it as such.

Apparently hens have blue on the outside of their cere then white/creamy on the inside when they are "out of condition" then go brown when they are "in condition". Too confuzzling to me, I just posted pics and hoped for an answer and everyone said hen LOL.

She's looking a lot better now, her beak is a little bit crusty but no bleeding, no wetness, no ruffled feathers.

You have no idea how relieved I am she's looking better, my first ever budgie and I thought I'd killed her somehow!
