White Angels!
I went to the lfs for IAL tonight and saw a pair of white angel fish. Pure...pure white as a "Blizzard"!(That
was for you Nat!) lol! I can't recall ever seeing them before. I must be on a different planet sometimes! Of course theres lots of fish I haven't seen. Has anyone seen them before and your opinion of them if
you don't mind. At $25(16UK LBS) each I won't be getting any in the near future!

Re: White Angels!
They're platinums. Look up the varieties of angelfish, you'll be surprised. I have koi blushing, plats, ghost, zebra, marble, leopard, smokey, gold, double dark, some with pearlscale, veil or double veil.
If your two were adults, then £16 is a very good price. Most lfs around here sell adult pairs at £40.

Re: White Angels!
They're not completely gold, just with an extended gold cap and white rest of them. Another strain of them is 'sunset blushing' which i think is a lovely name, but for pretty much the same thing. The only difference is, when they're young, their gill covers are slightly transparent, giving them pink cheeks.
I can't remember if mine is sunset blushing. I think he's just gold.

Re: White Angels!
Theres some stunning types of angels out there. My favirote are still the wild types like altums

Like Time-out said if they are adults then that seems a fair price. My lfs sell them at 1" for £2.99.

Re: White Angels!
Altums are a completely different breed of angels, not just a different strain. They're from deeper, darker waters and are more akin to Discus in their demands.

Re: White Angels!
Time I had no idea you had Angels. I've been wanting to get some Black veils but after seeing the Pinoy Ghosts, the Paraiba Smokeys and some of the new strains I don't think I could decide.

Re: White Angels!
I fell in love with smokey veils. They look like goths!
I'm going to do a Chard here and say: How about a double dark double veil?
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Or even a zebra pearlscale double veil?

I've only seen the paraiba on light-skinned angels before and didn't like that at all. They looked like they had a bad case of mange or eczema or something. That effect looks so much better on dark. The fancy ones are hard to get hold of. It's like with bettas, the most beautiful are the most elusive (and expensive)! So you've got to breed them to get there ;-)

Re: White Angels!
They all are unique and certainly worthy of consideration. There are so many
varieties you never see at the stores or in my case heard of. I'm just amazed
and bewildered at the same time!
