what does everyone feel is the best betta food out on the market? i know atison betta pro should be great, has anyone used aqueon betta? thanks

Overall I think most here prefer the Atison Pro for pellets. I vary my diet for
the lads from pellets, tetra flakes,both frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp.
I also give them boiled shelled mash pea at least once or twice a week. Since the bloodworms can tend to bind them up the pea helps move things along. Actually my four think its a treat and I'm not spoiling it for them!
Live foods such as bllodworms, brine shrimp and daphnia are excellent from
what I understand, but not available unless I hatch the shrimp myself.
Evidently they love chasing live food which I'll try eventually.

For dry foods my boys seem to LOVE the atison's betta pro, and they seem to be digested easily - when I used to use Hikari bio gold my boys used to get quite bloated

I use Hikari, frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp, live daphnia occasionally, and boiled shelled pea one a week to stop them getting bunged up, plus one day a week without food (usually after the pea day so their system is cleared out).
Atison's seems to be highly recommended, partially because the larger pots are cheaper than Hikari but mainly just because it's a good food. Both kinds (blue and Pro) are good but if you don't intend to breed then the blue might be best as it has slightly lower protein content.
Never heard of aqueon, you should be able to tell how good it is from the ingredients and nutritional analysis.

I give a mixture of bloodworms, brineshrimp, pea, Atison's Pro & then the regular Atison's pellets weekly. Obviously not all on the 1 day!

Hikari or Atisons are generally the best dried foods for bettas with a treat of bloodworm or brineshrimp now and then and a boiled blanched shelled pea once every 10 days to keep the digestion healthy
