hi all,
just a quick question,
does anyone else havea halfmoon that like to rest on top of the filter?
champ,my betta he loves to go up there and just lounge around also he does
this on the heater??
at first i thought he was dying Sad
but im used to him doing it now, when he`s had enough up there he just comes down
and swims around then hides from me in the plant!
just wondered if anyone else has seen this or is champ just playing me up!!!

Alaska is a halfmoon and he does this all the time. He'll have a fit of energy then doses on the filter or in a plant. Betta aren't naturally great swimmers so I assume they get tired :lol!: So Champ is not alone hehehe

No Quite normal for them to lounge about, they are best with slow flow filters, faster filters wear them out lots of plants for him to sleep and relax in is the way forward!

I noticed that too in our growout tank. There are usually about 6 - 10 juvies sitting on or around the filter!!!
