"Cambodian" is a name for A kind of color pattern.
Here's the description from a book I have :

"A Cambodian Betta has a body of one color and fins of another. For example, the body on this type may be red, while all the fins are light blue."

Hope I helped Smile

So is Tatsu a cambodian? His body is iridescent green his top fin is iridescent blue and his bottom fins are blood red with iridescent blue streaks .... He's so many colors I don't know what to call him

He also seems to have little spikes at the end of his tail ... My boy is just all mixed up lol

a cambodian is often a pale body with different or darker colored fins. there is some slight truth in the saying that very pale, light or even white colored fish are more susupitable to skin growths and cancers. however non inbred healthy fish much more rarely have this problem.

I would say that he's a Cambodian-butterfly Betta :

"As it's name suggests, it is a cross between a Cambodian and a butterfly Betta. The body on this Betta will be of one color, while the fins will have 2 different colors."

If you're still not sure, here's some websites I found:

If Tatsu is the one in your ava then he's NOT a butterfly. He doesn't seem a typical Cambodian either. I'm still trying to figure out what my Alpha is too, lol.
He seems a multi-VT to me...looks a lot like my VT but the fins on yours is a much more vivid red.....mine is dark all over unless light is behind him then he's super-dark with red/blue fins.

Heck your VT looks like my VT's sibling!

If you look in the "Bye Bye Chai" thread in Betta Heaven then you'll see my Chai, he was a Cambodian.

Is he just a multi-color VT with a possible CT mix? He has spikes on his fins

I'm not great with tail types but I've owned my fair share of VTs. He looks like a colourful VT to me.
