Shrimps in divided tank Empty Shrimps in divided tank

Post by Nataliey Fri 3 Sep 2010 - 16:30

Im thinking of buying some shrimps for my divided tank but wondered how many shrimps need to live together at a time as i was thinking of getting 2-3 for each section...or i could cut out a section at the bottom of the dividers big enough for the shrimp to get through and not the betta, or perhaps cut out a hole at the bottom of the divider big enough for some tubing/pipe so the shrimps can get through to all the sections not just stay in 1 section...if that makes sense.

So how many would be okay? confused

You can keep them on there own or in groups. If you go with 2 cherry shrimp in all sections you will soon get alot of babies so i would start with a few and let them breed. They wont stay in the section you put them in for long there experts at climbing i added 4 and within minutes one was over the divider and in with my apisto.

Aww I love cherries Very Happy mine didn't do very well with one of my males so haven't kept them since, but they're so beautiful and cute! I'd love to try the micro-sized crabs at some point, they look really funny
