Ok, so I'm about to buy this stuff but I just want to check it all sounds ok!
- Arcadia 20L fish tank with lid, light and filter (I've checked that the filter is ok for bettas)
- 25w heater
- various silk plants
- pettex aquatic roman red gravel
- some form of nice white hide/decoration (still looking)
- food! would like some advice on which is best, health and value wise
- freeze dried bloodworms, and I have a bowl to grow some brine shrimp
I'm still looking for a partially used master test kit or some sort of deal because I can only find them for about £30 and that's as much as the tank costs!

Sounds fine to me. You could try some live plants like java moss and java fern there easy to keep and only need low light levels. Have you though about making a coconut cave for hiding my bettas always used to love them. Heres how to make them [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] A big bit of bogwood would look nice as a centre piece. If you can i would go for frozen blood worm over freeze dried. Freeze dried loose lot of nutrition so frozen are better.

I think I'm just gonna order the tank today and see if my LFS has some nice hardy plants. Going for a red + white theme so I'm not sure about the coconut but if I can't find anything else I'll get one ^_^
Thanks for the info on the bloodworms, I'll give them a miss and just start growing live brine shrimp I think!

Sounds good. Not sure ive seen any white or red caves. You can get brown sort of ones like plant pots.

The tank was an awesome bargain just £32 with free shipping!
Just found these on ebay [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
So I'm gonna get a triangle one as a hide

Tanks looks good. The caves look a little sharp so i would try and find smoother ones if you can

That's true, don't want any torn fins! I really like the one on the left and I think I could put the other in the brine shrimp tank so I'll have a bid thanks!
