Why are people trying to sell babies that are so young in job lots! its so sad they dont want to keep them to a decent age and are willing to post them so young too!

I think someone has bred them without thinking.

That's a shame Sad Poor babies. Would they survive the journey? I might consider it, just to help them out - but not wanting to risk their lives.

Sad I'll keep an eye on the wee mites. Only 2 days or so to go with the auction.

Nope, just an auction unfortunately.
Dunno if I'll get the cash together for them, such a shame too. I'll try my hardest though!

To be honest I wouldnt advocate buying them, you dont want to encourage the breeder to do it again, if they sell, he's more likely to breed more to sell young

I have to agree with Tilly. If you buy them, it just makes the problem they have made for themselves go away. A bit like rescuing bettas from lfs's. Rescuing = they get more in!

It's a lose-lose situation methinks. Like dyed fish sales! I don't contribute to that.. maybe I shouldn't. Sad

To be honest I also agree with Tilly and Van. If they can make money out of them they will keep doing it:( Therefore in a way it's encouraging them to carry on doing this. Then there will be more and more babies. We can't rescue them all.

whole write up looks a bit dodgy to me... i get impression they aren't english as in first language but say rotheram based so either they got family to import the fish or they trying to still do thai style here.... i'd be cautious myself

too young for here... never mind their breeding constant!

i in no way agree with selling them that young, but they are a decent breeder IME, i got Theo and my girls from him and they are nice and healthy fish.

I wonder what their reasoning behind selling them at that age is. They have two identical auctions running at the moment.

What age did you buy you're girls and Theo at, lilfishie?

Shame, too, they look lovely in the pic.

Maybe there's some reason behind it. I dunno, I don't agree with them being sold so young but perhaps there's something else other than making a bit of cash.

i think there must be, they did say they had another lot from the same pair thats younger, maybe needs the space to grow them out? although i still dont agree with selling at this age, do well if you get a large number of males from them and have no space Evil or Very Mad
