Girlies
Right heres the deal I've got a large tank in my living room I'm not positive about exact size I think about 30gal but I could be way off!!. its only got a lone catfish in it so I am thinking of getting some girlies to go in it!! I tried with a boy in there but it has quite a strong filter so I had to turn that off. then the boy died for no reason a day after I bought him from LFS. he was a rescue so think he had just been battered 2 much when I got him he was already on his last legs!!
Sorry completely off topic!! :lol!:
So I'm thinking about putting some girlies in there but I have no experience with girls at all!! I know your meant to put them in groups of at least 6 but how many should I put in a tank of about 30 gals? would they be ok with a catfish? he is a BFG so I'm presuming he should be fine as he is very slow He's only about 3 inches big so he aint huge!!
how well do girlies cope with filters cos I know some boys struggle because of their beautiful finnage but can girls cope with faster flowing water?
I want to get a mixture of tail types so its interesting to look at and will obviously need to plant it up more so they have plenty of hiding spaces!!
Its either girlies or I divide the tank up for boys!!!
this is the tank I'm thinking of!!!
