fishing pellets
would you be able to feed catfish and cichlid fishing pellets? i have bags and bags a all diffrent sizes and types of pelets for fishing and was wondering if they would be ok for my fish but i thought they might be a bit to high in protein. most of them are flaviored aswell would that be ok? i have some plain ones, some halibut, some b2, fruity tuity, cherry strawbery and caramel. so i dont know if any of them would work.

Re: fishing pellets
Hi Kizno
I have used these pellets when fishing. I know there are a few lakes that wont allow them anymore doe to the protein content. Maybe a few every now and again wouldn't hurt. Maybe try and compare the nutritional values againgst a regular catfish pellet?

Re: fishing pellets
yh ill have a look at whats in some of them more closely tomorrow there in the garadge and i cant be asked to pull out all my stuff to find them and im nice and warm and its frezing out side lol. ive never been to a lake that doesnt allow pellets thats mainly boilies they dont allow because they have rediclous amounts of protein in them thats why you see carp that are about 3 foot long and 3 foot deep and weigh about 80lb but pellets arent as bad as boilies.

it doesnt really tell you how much is in it it just tells you what flavourings are used. i might try one and just see how it goes?

do you think you could use ground bait for catfish aswell because i was thinking the corys might sift throught it. no ground bait with hemp and bits just plaing ground bait or maize ground bait or along them lines?

Re: fishing pellets
i got some i looked at what was in them and they have exactly the same stuff in the as catfish pellets and in about the same amounts. the fish have loved them the convicts are shredding through them and all the catfish have been feeding on them. they start to soften steight away so evan the corys are getting some.there really cheap aswell i got a handfull small and medium trout pellets for 9p there only £2.49 for a kg and the algea wafers are £7.99 for 100g so you could get 3KG of the trout pellets for the same price as 100G of alge wafers.

well ive been feeding 10 every night for a week now and had no problems at all. all the cats are still in good shape not to fat not to skinny and theres been no other problems. the corys love them aswell because they start to brack down quickly so the corys can nibble bits off and them bn always drags about 4 into her cave and eats them lol
