cherry shrimp

Right, I went out and bought a Cherry Shrimp for the 21l tank Nemo is currently homed in, and he was put in.

Today I went to look for him, cannot see hide nor hair, and I was wondering, could Nemo have eaten him? the shrimp was TINY, is it possible?

He may have got sucked into the filter, but the vars are quite close together on the intake, even atisons pellets wont go through

erm yeah Nemo could have eaten the shrimp, some people say they dont eat shrimp but I have whitnessed my betta eating a bumble bee shrimp (the same size as cherry) and pluto had a snack on a couple of cherry shrimp last year. you would be better with a larger species such as bamboo shrimp but they do requite a water flow - just in case anyone without a filter was wondering

There is water flow, but theyre not that common round here.

Thats quite good for a cherry shrimp! there's still a chance its hiding somewhere if its tiny but if you think bettas are raised on nothing but live foods commonly brine shrimp when they are young then seeing a little shrimp knocking around the tank just looks like a tasty treat!

most probarbly hiding.
my cherry shrimp hid all day then keep out for 30 mins or so in the vening, as thats when i used to feed them Smile

I have had the moss balls moved, the cave and mixed up the sand, and it isnt a huge floor space.

And if £2.75 is a good price I am gutted I couldn't take the ones off a member on +++++++ for £1 each!
